BOO Bowling Event Bowls Over Attendees
More than 70 bowlers packed the house at Pinz Bowling Center on Saturday, October 13 for bowling and pizza to take part in the South Lyon Educational Foundation's first ever BOO Bowling event.
Decked in their Halloween best, kids and parents took time out of their Saturday to spend time with other members of the South Lyon educational community for a good cause and try to win some great raffle prizes.
Nearly $3,000 was raised to fund grants and scholarships that will further the educational opportunities of students in South Lyon Community Schools.
"We were so thrilled with the turn out and very much appreciate everyone who came out on a Saturday afternoon, especially when the weather was so nice outside," said Michelle Tomei, SLEF board member and BOO Bowling event chair. "With the success we experienced this year, we have no doubt next year's event will be even better."
